CHASE welcomes new Chairman >>

25 March 2009

Will mainCHASE hospice care for children is delighted to welcome its new Chairman, Will Spinney to its board this month.

The new CHASE Chairman, who started his career in the Royal Navy, has spent much of his career working in finance, specialising in corporate treasury, helping firms to raise finance and to manage cash and financial risks and is currently working in the field of education of corporate treasury, for the Association of Corporate Treasurers.

Commenting on his new position, Will said: “I am delighted to have the opportunity to make a difference to families when they are going through difficult times. It is important that I can help CHASE to ensure as much support as possible can be given to as many families as possible who need our help.

“I have joined CHASE in particularly challenging times when economic circumstances make support for our essential services more difficult. Much of my focus will be to ensure that our dedicated and experienced teams can continue to provide our excellent service, both at Christopher’s, our hospice, and in the community. I don’t want any family to miss out.”

CHASE Chief Executive, David King said: “The CHASE board is confident that Mr Spinney’s background will stand him in good stead to excel in the current tough fundraising environment and that he will also prove to be an excellent ambassador for the charity.”

Will is following former CHASE Chairman, Stephen Walls who has stepped down after serving four years for CHASE.

Will has three children, ranging in age from 16 to 22 and lives in New Malden, South West London.
