Legacies & Gifts in Memory

Legacies and Gifts in Memory of friends and loved ones are both extremely meaningful ways to support CHASE hospice care for children.

We are very grateful to everyone who helps the families CHASE strives to support by leaving a legacy gift or making a donation in memory.

Legacies:

Once you have provided for those closest to you, leaving a legacy is one of the best ways to support a cause that is close to your heart.

What a Legacy Means

A legacy means you can leave a footprint for the future, to help families with life-limited children and young people to really make the most of the time they have together.

A legacy to CHASE could pay for our Community Team to continue offering its vital help and support to families with life-limited children whenever it is needed - 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

It could also help to fund the running costs of Christopher's, our children's hospice, creating the opportunities for families to have fun together -that essential ingredient of any childhood.

Open Days at Christopher's children's hospice

If you would like to see first hand the difference that CHASE makes to the lives of the children and families who need our support, we would be very happy to show you around Christopher's on one of our Open Days.

Christopher's is a very uplifting place with a 'home-from-home' atmosphere, full of happiness and laughter yet also with quiet places for reflection. Christopher's provides facilities and activities which allow children and families to enjoy fun times together that would otherwise be impossible to achieve.

More Information

Please see our Guide to Making a Will to find out more - it's easier than you might think! Gifts to charity are also always free from inheritance tax.

Bequests are vital for CHASE to continue supporting life-limited children and families in the future. We are extremely grateful to all our supporters who have considered or have pledged to remember CHASE in their Wills - whatever the size of the gift they have chosen to leave.

Gifts in Memory:

Flowers are always appreciated, but a donation to charity in memory of a loved one is often a far more meaningful way to celebrate their life.

This can be a very personal tribute to their values and beliefs, and helps make a real difference to the lives of the children and families we support.

Tribute Cards

If appropriate, we can send a special tribute card in lieu of flowers to either yourself or to the family, acknowledging individual donations that have been made to CHASE. You can see the Tribute card here.

More Information

Please have a look at our Gifts in Memory leaflet, which includes a form to request a tribute card, as well as additional information about gifts in memory and CHASE.

Online Memorials

You can also create an online memorial fundraising page, by visiting www.justgiving.com/chase/remember .

This area of the Justgiving website has been specifically designed for anyone who may wish to raise money in memory of a loved one. Your can use this area to automatically collect donations online, and Justgiving will process all the money and Gift Aid automatically.

There are a number of other free online memorial sites for friends and relatives to leave messages and tributes. For instance, you can express, keep and display valuable personal memories and thoughts about your loved one at www.muchloved.com/?rp=chasehospicecare

For more information about any of the above, please contact Ian Davies on 01483 447756 or ian.davies@chasecare.org.uk.
